I am amazed at your hard work. I'm at the start ho a huge project. I'm organizing 500 beanies for the homeless of Melbourne. Salvos will distribute, with food . I need your advice how to get it going. Thank you again. For your great work. Joan

Thank you very, very much for your very generous donation of dog coats, blankets and toys to Dog Rescue Newcaslte http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au The homemade coats and blankets are just beautiful and you can tell they were all made with lots of love, not to mention a great deal of skill! Our rescue dogs will love them. Your knitters and crocheters, are a very caring and unselfish group and we are very grateful that you have chosen to support us again.
We are holding a garage sale on the 2nd of April and I invite any members who may live in Newcastle or the Hunter Valley to come and grab a bargain. Details will be on our website soon. Thanks!!!

Oh dear -- a long time since anyone posted here! I was wondering if anyone had any hints for joining the Yahoo group -- I am trying to sign in through Facebook. At one point it told me my birthdate was wrong. And it doesn't seem to recognise the profile name I think I set up.

Read your aeticle in Country Threads vol 10 No 3 with great interest. Will take to adult activity centre tomorrow and see if any ladies are willing to do some knitting. regards Claire Hoffrichter

Hi Pam - saw you in one of the craft mags I borrowed from my library and thought what a great idea!! I will be snail mailing you for 2 books - one for a friend as well - and I am wondering if you have any groups of knitters in the panania , nsw area?? I enjoy a range of crafts - quilts, scrapbooking, cross st., but when the cooler weather comes its knitting - I am not a fast knitter, as I always have one or 2 projects on the go at the same time, but would like to help out - I don't fully understand the calendar - with the dates? is that when you need to have things finished by? and where do I send them? or direct?? I prefer to do locally if possible - ie. missionbeat - exodus -
Is wool okay or does it need to be acrylic?? or doesn't it matter?

Dear Knitters and Crocheters,
Thank you very, very much for your wonderful donation of dog coats and blankets! We rescue dogs from pounds and put them into foster homes until we find permanent homes for them. Thanks to you, more of our dogs will have cozy coats and blankets to keep them warm this winter. Many of our dogs have suffered from neglect and mistreatment, I'm sure they will feel the love which you've knitted into your stitches! We are very grateful for your very generous donation.
